What is Carbon Literacy, and why does it matter?

The Low Carbon Accelerator begins with two-half-day Carbon Literacy sessions (delivered online) to teach you the science and context that makes up the less-than-awesome reality of the climate and economy - and how these things are interconnected.

It covers key concepts in climate literacy such as carbon footprints, carbon neutrality, and greenhouse gas emissions, and helps participants understand how these factors contribute to the current climate emergency.

The course also focuses on examining carbon reduction in specific sectors and developing strategies for proactive climate action. Participants will learn how to communicate about climate change issues to various audiences and raise awareness about environmental sustainability.

The course is delivered by experts in carbon literacy, innovation, and the circular economy, and upon completion, participants will have the opportunity to gain carbon literacy accreditation and access grant funding. The goal of the Low Carbon Accelerator is to help businesses build a stronger, more competitive business that supports people, planet, and profit.

Unlike other programmes, the content and people who deliver our Carbon Literacy Bootcamp are accredited by the Carbon Literacy Project.

Successful completion of the Low Carbon Accelerator includes an individual accreditation from the Carbon Literacy Project - considered to be the GOLD STANDARD in Carbon Literacy education. Trusted by the likes of Patagonia and the BBC.

Today, over 43,641 individuals from over 3,953 organisations are accredited Carbon Literate - are you ready to join them?
